Do's and Don'ts
Do the Following:
Note: This is only after the damage has been caused by a fire/smoke
Stay calm for your safety.
Open the windows to vent to the outside (close at night for your safety)(Turn off A/C if possible)
If possible do not use the Air Conditioning Unit.
Call 1.828.442.5746 to help you with your damage and to assist you with your Insurance claim.
Call the Insurance Company after the damage has been determined.
Do Not Attempt the Following:
Don't wipe or wash the walls, ceiling or any absorbent surfaces.
Don't attempt to clean any electrical appliance.
Don't use any food exposed to heat or smoke.
Water Damage
Do the Following:
Stay calm for your safety.
Stop the water if it is a plumbing leak.
Turn off the electrical breakers if possible.
Call 1.828.442.5746 to remove the water damage and we will assist you with your insurance claim.
Next, call the plumber (for a plumbing leak)
Pick up anything on the floor - look under the beds and in the closets.
If possible, call family or a neighbor to help!

Don't unplug anything while standing in water.
Don't use the vacuum cleaner.
Don't use newspaper to soak up the water.
Don't walk barefoot in sewage.
Don't put blowers or fans on sewage.
Don't let the water stand for hours or days.
What to expect during a Restoration:
The Restoration Company will assist you with your claim. Expect to pay your deductible on your insurance policy. Installation of equipment. To relocate to a hotel or a condominium. Damage to personal property or to the structure. A Restoration can last from a few days up to several weeks or more. To sign a Work Authorization before any work can be performed.
